Does XP Home support multi cores?

You say you had the option in Windows XP Task Manager before?
    Is this a new install?

What is the make and model of the motherboard and CPU?
Did you change anything in the BIOS?

EDIT: apparently XP Home SP2 has the ability to set affinity!

There are drivers for AMD CPUs, Registry "fixes" for some related situations, and some other possibilities in the Device Manager having to do with uni and multi processor ... if you don't remember what you changed in the BIOS, at least tell us the make and model of your motherboard and CPU so we can take a closer look at the possibilities.
