Crackling noise in speakers while playing games

heres the situation

i just reinstalled xp home edition

including all the update and drivers and such

heres wat happens i play L4D (left 4 dead) and UT3 (unreal tournament 3) updated and all i shoot the guns in the game and i hear crackling and poping noises coming form my speakers

so i did some trouble shooting

speaker setting hardware and software

in game settings

i even shut the game down and brought it back up again and still the same thing

i also tryed it on 2 other games fear 2 and command and conquer 3

they were fine with no crackling and such

i been tinkering with it with l4d and ut3 still nothing this situation is new to me do i thought id seek your guyses advice ansd such

Soundcard?

First off, do you know what soundcard/adapter you have?

its on board audio

so theres no sound card

actually upon further inspection and maintenance

i found out that the crackling and such was either from the sound files and such cuz when i defraged the pc to stopped also i found out my speakers are going out as well which kinda sux oh well

lesson learned lol

i have windows 7 , and i recently got hissing noises while playing crisis,i am guessing its my sound card which i recently upgraded,dont worry its probably a software problem not a hardware problem
