Crashing / Hardlock problems

  1. Hello everyone, I've come here a few times to fix some computer problems but this one is tricky for me. I've spent nearly 1 or 2 months trying to find out why I've been freezing when ever I play a game doesn't matter what one.
After 5 minutes of playing or less I get a sound loop then the computer locks up, monitor still works I can change it's color / placement. But when I lock up in the game it crashes my computer I can only hold in the button and restart like that.

    Specs are:

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, build 2600)
    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.6GHz
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
    DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0
Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce 8400 GS
    Monitor: SyncMaster 923NW
Sound Card: Envy24 Family Audio (WDM)

I've done run \ dxdiag, did all the test and no problems. sfc /scannow no files were misplaced or gone. I'm going crazy because I don't got a some odd $200+ to send this in to get it repaired, I did custom build this, I updated all the software and reset them back to default drivers aswell. :suspiciou
