Creative zen v problem

I recently acquired Creative's new mp3 player, the zen v. At the very beginning of the installion manual a warning is given not to connect the device prior to installing its complementary software. I read this too late and connected the zen v before installing. Now with the programs installed my comp detects the zen but its own software doesn't. Any suggestions?

usually connecting the device before you are told to will simply result in windows being unable to find a driver. try reinstalling the creative software. all you really need is the media explorer. at any rate, you can still add music to your device thru windows explorer, it's as simple as copy and paste.
