By Dilated6924

  1. I have ran AVG and Spy Sweeper and both say there is nothing wrong but I have this critical system error that keeps blinking between a question mark and an X. I tried finding a solution for it on the internet and I can't find one. I would really appreciate someones help in getting rid of this. Thanks.

    Hello Dilated6924,

    Click Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs

select any items with JAVA and uninstall

Download the most recent version of java from here:

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    • Turn your computer back on.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

    Results of scan

Here are the results of that scanner. I was suprised after the scan was done because that avg didn't pick up any of these viruses it found. Is there a reason why???? Thanks for all the help again.

If AVG is still detecting a virus - please post the location.

Bitdefender deleted ALL infected files that it found.
