I have deleted Intel ethernet card software and uninstalled the card; however, upon startup, it still looks for the software. how do I stop this?

Why don't you uninstall the software instead of deleting it? That's the way you're supposed to do things.

If the problem persists after uninstalling, or if you have trouble uninstalling, since you've deleted it, try running a registry cleaner, it will remove orphaned keys that may be left after an uninstall and will definately be left after deleting.

try start>run>msconfig and check if the software is called upon startup
