Dell 2001FP

  1. Well, i decided on getting a nice 19inch monitor, but my parents talked me into an LCD (by offering to help pay of course)

Anyways, I was told ther ewas only one monitor to get. The Dell 2001FP. The main thing I need it for is gaming, and i was told this was good for gaming. Anyways, i was wondering if this was a good choice, and if it isn't, please give me some more ideas on better ones. Price range is around 1000US max.

On a side note, heres the link to the dell site:

It would probably be ordered by now but we ran into a problem, we're in canada, and dells canadian site doesn't supply this monitor for some reason. Does anyone know a canadian site that has them or an american site that will ship them?

    Thanks!

It looks to be an awesome monitor - I plan to get one. I currently have a 21" LCD and a 19" LCD but the 2001 is the one to have! There's a good review of it on anand's at http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1918

    Hi,

The 2001FP is a superb monitor I've just bought one. The only downside is that although you can rotate the monitor into portrait mode there is no software from Dell to use this.
