Dell bios acting weird

I have a dell 8300 and i am trying to reapir it. But it gives me this error about Diskette 0 seek failure whether the hard drive is in or not and whether the disk drives are in or not whats wrong?? Also sometimes it tries todo this ide automatic config. Whats with that to??

You need to turn off (disable) floppy in your system Bios

When you first turn on your computer you should notice a prompt like "Press DEL or F2 to enter Bios Setup"

Once in Bios Setup, locate floppy and disable it
Then Save and Exit (ie F10)
