Hello Everyone. Just like to try and get some help 2. Paragon excellent write up man. Im scared to open the laptop up, never have :|. So help I shall seek

RUSTAM!,

I just got this dell lappy kind of old, bought it at an ASU surplus store for real cheap, they told me it was donated, and it had the password issue and you had to take it to a Dell service center. I said PFT! i'll do it, do a quick google search and handle the problem. HA! Sure didn't turn out that way, anyway I just bought the laptop to be mobile at school, hate running down stairs for a bite to eat then running back up to finish typing up papers and what not. Being inside is lame 2 so I got it, now it doesn't work and hopefully you can help!. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

D610 Master PW: Can you please help me Rustam?

Hi Rustam,

I am new to this thread and not so very familiar with pc stuff. Some times ago I bought a laptop Dell Latitude D610 from a flea market sale. I started the notebook and when I wanted to change the settings (activate wireless LAN) I was asked for an "Administrator password". When I asked the owner of the laptop for the master password she told me that she doesn't know because the machine belonged to her son who died in an accident. Then I didn't care because I thought I could ask DELL for it to get it unlocked. But Dell didn't want to help me because they ask for some informations I don't have and I didn't get from the woman who sold the laptop to me. I tried to get some informations from the internet and after some days I found this threat. Migthy Rustam would you be able to help me as you have helped many others I saw? If anyone can help me it would be you I found out.
The number which showns on the screen is #**36AK7755T-595B and on the backside the service tag is G9DM72J. The express service tag is 353-955-835-63. I read about the paper clip way but I'm afraid of it because I don't know much about hardware and I'm not very adroit. Please help me to become a lucky loser. Thank you in advance very much.

Thanks a million,
Beat

The answers to the questions

Hi all, sorry that I havent been in for a while but I have been devoting my time to dealing with wider issues, once again it seems that this thread is filling up with people who hope beyond hope that Rustam will answer their plea and supply a password, he may he may not, but in the meantime if your up to it follow the link in my tag

There are 2 occasions where a password is wanted by a user,

1)you buy the laptop and when you power it on you get a grey screen
2)you power on the laptop and all is fine until you want to change the boot order and find the BIOS has been locked.

The 2nd is the easiest and can be done with the software on my site.

The first is a bit trickier and involves shorting a SMALL chip on the motherboard.

Either method clears the Service Tag and thus the passwords on the laptop.

The software will instantly restore the service tag but leave the passwords blanked.

Any one with a bit of sense about PC's can strip a laptop down and Dell have the manuals on line, there is a link on my site to show you where to get yours.

Once done you can hold your head high and say Ididmylaptop.

Regards all

Can't get into Bios, only setup mode...Help RUSTAM

You seem to have the answers to the question. Why is that you have the answer? Can I be saved, or will my frustration throw this laptop into the pool. All I was trying to do was increase memory from 256MB to 512MB. And now for my story of failure.

Okay here goes. I recently purchased new memory for my Dell Latitude laptop model CPx. after installation nothing happened. Got a hold of seller from ebay, told me to try them one at a time to confirm both were operational.

The computer booted up for two seconds and read as follows. "The amount of system memory has changed.

Well the next thing you know I'm staring at this screen asking my to enter the HDD password for authentication. That is truly something new for me.

I have a service tag # on the bottom but it is to short to fill in the blanks for the password.
It has "Hard-disk #*********-595B" on the screen. I saw some other questions about this earlier. I'm no genius, but i don't carry a book on cracking security codes on laptops. Any help out there for this Dell user wishing he never bought more memory...................

I can't say that I have ever had an issue upgrading memory, not to the point of it setting a password on the HD,

Alas there are 2 options.

1) Hope rustam will supply you with a password, it is i am sorry to say not something I can do as Rustam keeps the code generator close to his chest.

2)Use the software and links on my site and pay for the remote unlock procedure, it is quite cheap if the data is really important.

Rustam,

I bought a Dell C610 from a company moving several machines. As soon I give it power it comes to this bios "GREY" screen, asking for a password. I believe that it came from a corprate auction and it was never tested. I don't even know if the HD is secured.

I bought this laptop for school and now I am screwed and don't know what to do.

Hello Rustam,

I work for a computer firm as a support technician. We service mostly desktops laptops and printers. A customer brought a dell inspiron 5150 laptop cause he has forgoten the password. As we are a reputable firm, we first did a checkup of the person and the origin of the laptop and confirmed that he is the rightfull owner (INVOICE AND TELEPHONE CALL TO THE SHOP HE PURCHASED IT FROM). We suggested to him that he ask dell for a password. What a jackoff that was they replied to him with a Dear John letter. Next he went to a 100% pass free shop they asked for 200 Euros (230$). Holy **** Rustam are they kidding or what. He still has a locked laptop and it sits in my desk for three weeks now. Can you please help me gain access to this laptop cause i feel sorry for the guy.
