Dell For fun... and the same for work

I have this one computer that i only use for games and if i start using it as a normal computer will it hurt my game play. I has a 2.80Ghz P4 w/ HT, 128 mb viedo and 80 ghz harddive and if i turned off everytihng and go play my games will it hurt it
