Dell Inspiron 5000

I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 laptop (Model No. PPM) that will not boot up.
I have removed the floppy, hdd, cdrom, battery, and all the memory but it still starts to boot up and then cuts off after a few secs?
How can I figure out the problem?

That pretty much leaves the motherboard or CPU as the culprit. It could also be the LCD, try with an external monitor to rule it out though if it is cutting itself back off completely, its likely the mobo or cpu.

Not the LCD!
I guess I am out of luck? Is ther a way to figure out if it is the cpu or the mobo?
