Desktop/Wallpaper Virus

  1. I just had a huge battle with the virus "Internet Protection 2010"

I think I have gotten rid of it but the desktop issues still linger. When I am shutting down my normal wallpaper pops up so I think the "You have a virus!" wallpaper is a web issue (sorry guys im not too good with this stuff).

I tried to go into control panel/display/desktop/customize desktop
When I do this the "web" tab has disappeared. It also wont let me change my wallpaper.

I have also tried to put "regedit" into run but nothing pops up. (Am I supposed to be putting something before "regedit" Can anyone help?

    Thanks so much in advance.

If you would like help with malware, please follow the steps HERE.

When you have finished, attach the 3 logs to your next reply. Please be sure to check thi lines in Malwarebytes and Superantispyware to remove the malware entries they find. I will instruct you if there are any removals in HijackThis.

Please don't attempt to do a Registry Edit while we are cleaning.
