Deus ex2 freezes at the initial loading screen

I just bought this game. I installed it and the game freezes at the loading screen right before the main menu screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I have rebooted the system, and have the latest drivers for my video cards. I still have the same issue. I am thinking the problem maybe with the fact the game is almost three years old and I have a brand new system but I am unsure. Also, I have not attempted to patch the game. I want see if anyone has any suggestions. Here is my DX info. Thanks!

Check for a patch. I personally won't start playing a new game until I've applied the latest patch.
 
Patch the game, as you said it's a newer system your vid card chipset may not be supported enough without the latest patch.
 
I patched to 1.2 and downloaded all the latest drivers for my rig. It still freezes! Very frustrating!
