I want to add some files to an SD card. They are not picture files. If a digital camera has a spot for USB, can I plug it into my USB port to add files to an SD Card, or do I have to buy a USB SD Card reader? Thanks for any help!

I'm pretty sure that will work.
I will always use "My Computer" and open the camera from there
Then I open the internal SD folder, to drag the pictures out.
So I'm positive it works the other way too. (Actually I'll check)

Edit:

Yep Worked

as above, if your camera supports that function (of being a card reader) via special software or windows, then it will work.

If it doesn't just go down to the nearest tech shop and get yourself a cheap $15 card reader..

if your camera allows you to upload, then just plug it into your usb, if not, you will need an SD card reader to push/pull files.

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, I couldn't connect the digital camera to my computer (it wasn't my camera, and I didn't have the right USB cord). I'm just going to buy a USB SD Card Reader. Again, thanks for the help!
