    U.S. sales of digital cameras jumped more than 50 percent in 2002 because of attractive pricing and savvy advertising, according to a report released Wednesday.

    Sales of digital cameras that have an LCD viewing screen hit 10 million units for the year, compared with 6.5 million units in 2002, according to a report from research firm IDC. Strong holiday demand pushed sales for the fourth quarter to 4 million units, compared with about 2.8 million units in the fourth quarter of 2001.
