Dimension 2400 Upgrades

  1. I have an old Dell Dimension 2400 sitting around and I'm wondering if its possible to replace the motherboard, get some more RAM, a new processor, and maybe some other modifications. I know it has limited space under the hood, and I'm not looking to make another gaming rig, just something thats more usable. Can anyone help me out and maybe recommend some parts? Thanks for any help.

    IMHO:
Forget it, sorry to say a lot of people bought this computer with only 2 memory slots.
Dell cases are not the best and there is nothing in you Dim2400 worth salvaging. Give it to the Salvation Army so someone can use it for e-mail.
On a lighter side I bought a Workstation 530 and the case is worse and the RAM is more expensive than the computer was.
Start from scratch and build something good, that is what I plan this Spring.
