  1. ok so i have a geforce fx 5500 agp, 256, installed, got the latest drivers that support directx 9c, but no game renders correctly!
i am sorry if i am using a wrong terminology but i dont know much about this, anyway i ran the direct x diag tool tested directdraw, fine, then i checkd the direct3d tests, it is supposed to show a spinning cube with direct3d logo on the sides.. well it shows the spinning cube and it looks like this

    for all the 3 interfaces.
i really dont know what to do, all the games i have used to work perfectly on my previous card which was an ati radeon 9x 128, all the games now either show up some ****ed up screen that looks exactly like this cube (color wise) ex: half life2, call of duty2, far cry, etc.
    i need some help, thanx.

If yur running a Mobo with VIA chipset, you may need to update the AGP drivers.
Also, i would suggest trying to play COD2 in dx7 mode, and with HL2 and FC try turning all the graphics right down.
And where possible, try rendering games in OpenGL.
