DirectX 9 Final with Beta files

After installing DirectX 9 Final over DirectX 9 Beta I have several 'Beta Retail' version files left over which DirectX advises are 'unsupported and could cause problems' and to 'reinstall DirectX to get the latest version'. Well I downloaded DirectX 9 Final again and reinstalled it but the same Beta files remain. Should this be a concern? Do I need to uninstall DirectX 9 before reinstalling it? If so where can I find a DirectX uninstall utility? Thanks
