DirectX error for AMD R9 290 Tri x 4GB

Is there any way to see if my ram leaks in any way?

its just strange, since the only game that has the issue is BF4 then I assume that the issue is in BF4...?
Oh its BF4 im pretty sure since alot of problems have been arising left and right with the game.

You can check a ram log which should show how much ram is being utilized at any time (Just using the task manager can do that and has a graph). I can't say for sure thats the issue, but seeing as how people are reporting this due to a March 6th update it seems like that maybe the issue.

I would suggest trying it with both Mantle and Direct X seeing if either works without problems, watching with the task manager in the background and just leaving it up to see if the game crashes and what your usage was at when it did crash, and just making sure to have the latest drivers from both sides. Oh also try the 64bit and 32bit versions of the game as well.

You seem to not be the only one having memory issues, it seems that something on March 6th has caused the issue to return.

Try this as it seems that it fixes the issues

I've spent A LOT of time on this and now I'm confident to say that I've eliminated the issue on my machine.
Specs: i7-920@3.8Ghz, 6GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Sapphire ATI 5850 1GB, Win 8.1Pro 64b (legit)

Drivers: 13.12

I've applied these 3 'fixes', and the issue is now gone for over a week (cca 20 hours played):

1) Disabling NDU monitoring

Open up "regedit" and find:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu

Change the "Start" value to 4

2) Launching the 32b version of the game

Open Origin, rightclick BF4, properties, set it to launch x86 version

3) Adjusting the page file

Go Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System > Advanced System Settings

Advanced tab > in Performance section click Settings > Advanced tab > in Virtual memory section click Change

uncheck Automaticall manage, select Custom size

I currently have it set as 2048-4096MB (1/3 and 2/3 of total RAM) and I have no leaks and no 'low memory' popups/freezes.

This seems to had the biggest impact, play around with the values.

I've started on 256MB (the cache of my SSD) and the worked my way up.

I tried this and played for an hour or so without the issue ocurring , I cannot confirm yet that it works but it seems so since in most cases the game would crash before 1 hour of gameplay.

However it seems that my CPU and GPU is running more hot, my CPU was up on 70-75 and my GPU was on 68c

Is this due to the fact that I run it in x86?

Well your still fine, its just utilizing your components better with Mantle and that results in a bit more stress. However again none of the levels your seeing are dangerous or beyond what I would expect in the game on air cooling. Your GPU is actually quite cool for playing BF4 and the CPU on a stock cooler is still ok at those temps. If you start getting close to 80, you might consider taking a look at your cooler and buying an inexpensive Hyper 212 or the likes, however right now, my friends i7 4770 (Non-K) runs on the stock cooler on some games up to 75 which is what I expect on those coolers.

I would not worry to much, remember the throttle point of those CPU's is around 100C so it can take the heat.
