all right, i have everything i need to update my bios.. the only thing i need to know how to do is disable the bios protection.. i know i have to close 2 pins on the motherboard?? i could be wrong. i don't know what these so-called pins look like and don't know where to find them. if anyone could help me step by step on how to do this it would most appreciated as i do not want to screw anything up.

Check your motherboard manual, or find that info on the mobo-manufacturer's website.
