  1. OK well my parents computer just went to crap on them and they want me to help find a solution. Heres what it is: When the computer boots it gets a text saying "Disk Read Error: press ctrl+alt+delete", i tried everything i could think of including booting from the windows disk, nothing seems to work. when trying to do a system recovery it says its missing biosinfo. I'm hoping a format isn't needed but if i have no other choice then i will. Please help me, thanks ahead of time

Possible CMOS battery issue? Missing BIOS info is what brings this to mind. Is it possible the mobo up and died? Is the PSU stable?

As Route44 said, possibly CMOS battery issue! Maybe the litium battery is not receiving enough charge. Disconnect your HDD and try to boot from your window disk again to see if you experience any thing of such.

Were you able to get to the 'setup' at all, to check if the configuration was properly done ?
