    Hello,
well, new to the site and I could really use some help. I got a new hard drive to add more space about a month ago I think this is where it started. Sometimes when I turn on my computer there is no display adapter, like my computer wont read it. I go to add hardware and its not there either. I restart my computer about 7-10 times and all of a sudden its back, once the computer gets shut down and back on its gone again. anyone know whats going on here?
thanks in advance for any replies.

Have you tried removing your newly installed hard drive to see if your display adapter works? Check your PSU, is there enough wattage?

Just to make things clear, your monitor works correct but sometimes your computer will not recognize the video card? The next step I would consider doing is installing the latest drivers for your video card and also the latest chipset drivers.
