Hi,
I've done searches everywhere and can't seem to find an answer to this problem...
When I stream audio from the Internet, it is distorted/garbled. It almost sounds like the old days of a dirty tape drive. Playing audio CD's is fine, and playing audio files stored on the computer is fine... streaming is the only problem. Occurs with Real Player 10.5 and Windows Media Player 11.
Machine is an older Dell 8100 running WinXP/sp2. The sound card is a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz with the latest audio drivers (4193). I've uninstalled and reinstalled the card and drivers. Everything was working fine until sometime last week. In fact, this machine has had great audio for years, including streamed audio.
I've played with virtually every audio setting on the machine to no avail.
Any thoughts?
Marlo
