Although I haven't been able to confirm this, according to the Inquirer, Bell Microproducts will extend the warranties on hard drives from Seagate, Hitachi, Western Digital and Maxtor from one year to three at no extra charge.

You might remember the HD warranty fiasco some time ago, most big manufacturers took the route of lowering warranties of all drives to one year, now Bell, said to be the biggest drive distributor would seem to be serving users by their own mediums, though I'm not sure how this would work for the end user, I mean, how would you know what worldwide distributor your drive is coming from.
