Does this make any sense? DVI issue and Samsungs response...

I have been trying for the past few days to hook up the DVI-D dual link cable to my brothers computer. Never had many problems with this in the past, updated all the drivers, flashed the bios, etc. So then I decided to check samsungs site and see if I could learn something. I noticed something very strange, while the DVI slot on the monitor is DVI-D dual link, it says that the video card it is connected to MUST be DVI single link. I was just wondering if anyone read the same thing anywhere or if it makes any sense.

just curious

I was just curious why samsung would tell you to use a DVI-D dual link cable and the slot on the monitor is DVI-D dual but the vid card must be single link. I am curious like a cat.
