Any help would be welcomed I WANNA PLAY!
One phrase: Modified Catalyst Drivers (Desktop drivers which install on mobile Radeons) Another suggestion might be Omega Drivers (3rd party driver) which will install on mobile chipsets. If you search around, you will find them and they will probably work.
I tried to install the drivers but i get an error or two WTF They read INF error video driver not found Error 2 Setup was unable to complete the installation try to set up your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup
I feel like an *****... well I tried uninstalling the drivers but i got the same 2 errors can anyone give me a step by step on what to do about all of this? i got the catalyst drivers from this site (techspot.com)
Try this: http://www.driverheaven.net/downloads/index4.htm "rad_w2kxp_omega_2536b (ATI) (Catalyst 4.4) *NEW* " is what you will be downloading. It is VERY important that you uninstall your old ATI control panel and drivers using the Add/Remove Programs icon found in Start / Control Panel
I have the same problem I have the same MB, CPU and ATI card. Direct X 9.0c will not work correctly and therefore niether will any 3D program. Doom3 - Won't work Full Spectrum Warrior - Won't work Rupublic Commando - Won't work Panzers Phase 1 - Does work DVD movies - Do work I think there is some kind of issue with AMD 64 bit chip - ATI MR9600 - and Windows XP (with Direct X 9.0c) Did all the driver stuff correctly to include Omega Drivers. Can't figure out the problem, but it is pissing me off since I paid $1,600.00 for this laptop.
