While we today are on the subject of Keygens and unreleased software being hacked a small news bit about eMule seems fit.

This is a program similar to Kazza, DC++ or eDonkey2000 only this one currently seems to be the best, it does have it's bugs but overall it's a good product...

And today version 1d got released, so why not give Windows 2003 serv...erm eMule a try?;

Seems atleast one big bug has been fixed; the previous version would eat up all free ram (200mb!) untill it had connected to a server, this appears to have been solved...

The program also seems to use less memory when it's up and running also...

Seems kind of unusal to be promoting warez on TechSpot. I hope this site doesn't start going downhill, it's one of my favorites.

eMule is not warez at all.
It's an open-source file sharing program, one of the most popular projects at SourceForge, I must add.

I just tried it. Its a little slow sometimes, methinks, and its also perhaps a little buggy... however, I think with some work it could be good. There is a fair amount of data but nothing compared to what you get on kazaa or with bittorrent from various places, or from IRC. Certainly a lot less than with kazaa, I thought.

Still, its an P2P software that hasn't had its creators sued into oblivion yet, and that's always good.

I didn't mean emule, I meant the comment about using it to download Windows Server 2003. Not that I have anything against that but it seems an odd place to suggest that. Pay no attention to me though, I'm just talking. :)

Oh ok... I read that too but I took it as a joke. Anyway, glad to hear we are a daily stop for you, hope to see you around more often.

Hi, that was only meant as a joke, sorry if you or anyone else took offence.

Shure its slow at times, but on the other hand, just leave it running over the weekend when youre out on other bussiness and itll work unattended. Thats what i like about eMule.

That among the things that makes eMule/eDonkey Network a great choice. They will have a big big problem to shut it down cause there is no one person that is responsible ;)
