Downloads hanging up

Every DL I start whether in IE or FireFox starts and anywhere between 3-99% stops. In firefox I cleared the private data, changed the DL path/location, deleted the downloads.rdf file, tried DLing in 'safe' mode, restarted the computer and router, reinstalled Firefox, scanned for viruses w/ norton, used PC tools spyware doctor and am stumped.

Any suggestions appreeciated

Are you doing the download to Save to disc or Run? If Run, change the option to Save to Disc. Once on the Desktop, open from there.

I'd check for spyware. I recommend the following 3 anti-spyware utilities:

• 
  Ad-Aware 2007
  Spybot Search & Destroy
  AVG Anti-Spyware

Re-post if this doesn't solve the problem.
