Dual Boot 98 & XP Pro

Hey All, trying to get this up & running. Setting up two HDD's 80GB & 40gb, I know how to do most all of it until I read about Swap/Page Files. I was going to put swap/ page file on first partition of the 2nd disk. Now I read that it can't be done if both HDD's are on the same IDE (Master & Slave) because the slave is inactive while master is in use. I never botherd this RAID stuff on Motherboard, can I turn it on and use just one IDE? this is a link to just one page of the Article

I believe your board uses a HPT370 chip for the RAID, If so you can configure it as addtional IDE channels

But if you use RAID, won't you end up with a total of 80GB since your smaller drive is 40. From what I understand the size will default to the smaller drive so you end up with two 40s and lose the other 40GB. If this isn't right someone please correct me.
