Hi guys
I have a big question i am hoping 1 of you will be able to answer
I have the DV9233CL laptop.
And am wanting to change out the cpu.
It has the T5500 1.66ghz 667fsb 2mb cache chip
Step setting are as follows.
SL9SQ, 1.66GHZ, T5500 667MHZ 65NM L2 2MB Micro-FCBGA
I am wanting to change out the cpu for this cpu
SL9SJ, 2.33GHZ, T7600, 667MHZ, 65NM, B2, 4MB Micro-FCBGA

My question is will the laptop support having a chip with 4mb cache over the
2 mb cache and will it take the 2.33ghz or am i just stuck with the 1.66ghz.

most laptops have the cpu hard soldered. I do not recommend tinkering with the cpu. Adding ram, however to a laptop would be very beneficial both in speed and in maximizing battery life.
