DVD Burner Error

I have a Dell laptop with a DVD burner. I have had the laptop for about 1 year. I have burned approximately 30 dvds from it with no problem. However, about two weeks ago I tried to burn a DVD through CD Burner XP Pro and this error message came up:

"Writing Error: (3) Error ocurred writing data to disc.
A flaw exists in the Power calibration area (1048).
Error Sense Data: SENSE KEY: 3 ASC: 73 ASCQ: 3"

I have tried other burning programs but I always get an error. Any ideas?

Cause : This error is caused by a CD Burner that is going bad or the most common cause is a Bad CD-R Blank

Solution: Try a new CD Blank or a different brand

So try another brand of CD or as the previous poster says, time to get a new DVD burner
