DVD-Rom Doesn't Read Empty Disks

  1. Hey,,how are the things,,I have a problem,my dvdrom doesn't read any empty disks.I tried some disks that has things on it..all of them worked.only the empty disk doesn't work.I bought another disk and it still not read,,what to do ? :/

    Question: Do you have a DVD Rom or a DVD burner? If you have a DVD burner then it should be able to read the blank disks so that you can add files to it. But if you insert a blank disk into a DVD Rom drive (that does not have burning capabilities) then it might not read the disk because it contains no information to read.

    Well I burned a lot of blank disks before,, a year ago as I remember,,I noticed this problem 2 days ago when trying to burn windows 8.1 into a dvd disk,,

    Right the drive in Computer, select Properties. Do you see a Recording tab?
