DVD's not reading!

Hey Guys,
Been a while since I posted but now I need help! I bought a Samsung CD-RW/DVD drive. It worked fine for around 1.5 months, but suddenly won't read DVD's. It reads CD's fine. And I don't mean just movies, it won't read data DVD's. I'd appreciate some help.

It sounds to me like the DVD laser is dead.

Ya, I would exchange it for another. I mean, if its a month and a half old and is already crapping out on ya, then its probably a defect. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole thing craps out on ya soon enough. Exchange it. Its 2 new to be running into problems like that.
