DVDs won't play

    My DVD-Rom will no longer play DVDs, but it will play data CDs, audio CDs, even the television series I have on DVD, just not my DVD movies. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesnt work. Can anyone help me out with this. Thanks.

    uninstall it 'physically' or 'digitally'? Try both of them and make sure cable inserted properly. Can you tell what is your model and series?

    What software are you using to play the DVDs? Try VLC to rule out any OS issues.
