Dynamic disk partition information

  1. I set up a disk in XP as simple dynamic so I could create some folders with lots more space. I split the drive into three folders and after a while the middle folder disappeared, but the others continued to function. All software in XP reported the drive section as unreadable or corrupted, but DiskManagement showed the drive sections as OK. I believe the partition information has become corrupted and I would like to fix it. My understanding is limited but I have repaired regular partition damaged drives. I would like to know the location and format of the dynamic disk partition information. Is there any software that assists in changing this specific information?
