E: Drive disappeared

When I go to My Computer, my [E:] Drive does not show up. It has disappeared. Therefore my external CD Writer is not functional.

Can't find info on how to re-establish it. Any direction is appreciated.

External CD not working

My external CD Device is no longer working. It is not being recognized. Was working fine just the other day. Tried reinstalling to no avail. Add New Hardware function did not pick it up either.

I have heard of this happening to others.

Time to buy a new one or is there something that can be done?
