    e-machine keyboard

I have an e-machine 800 that has an e-machine keyboard with a lot of "bells and whistles" buttons on it, like "Search", Bookmarks", "Pay Bills" and on and on.

I don't have anything in my program files nor in the Control Panel/Keyboard to set the function of the buttons. None of them have ever worked.

    Any suggestions?

Does the keyboard detect as an e-machine keyboard, or a generic keyboard in the device manager? If it detects as a standard keyboard, that may be it.

How about when you go to Keyboard under Control Panel? Nothing??

Anyway, you may want to check your drivers cds that came with it to see if they have anything you may need to install to alter the functions. Do they have a website? There should be moderate documentation to help you out.

    Good luck in solving this.

Standard in the Device mgr, standard in the control panel and couldn't see anything on the "Restore disks" about the keyboard.

    No website.

I didn't run "Update" in the Device mgr w/ the CD to see if it would find anything.

    Thanks for the post.
