I have a small acer Aspire 5515 and just recently when I plug my power cord into it, it won't charge my computer, does anyone know how I can fix it?

If my memory serves, I remember hearing something about the power cords for these netbooks being defective. Is the computer still on warranty? You might be able to ask for a new cord. It's very difficult to fix a cord especially if there's a short somewhere inside it. Or if the transformer died. You need to REALLY know what you're doing if that's what happened to it.

There may be a couple of options, apart from goinng back to the shop.

You could test the output voltage with a multimeter, its low voltage and a safe option.

In Control Panel, there is the Power options, which might need tweaking, and looking at the Hibernate options, playing with no hibernation is handy.

In the BIOS, sometimes there is Power options, these might need to be switched on. Or switch Hibernate of.
