I'm running a Pentium D 3.0 Ghz with factory heatsink/fan on a Gigabyte MB.

When I open Easy Tune 5's 'Hardware Monitor' I see a flashing red/yellow exclamation-point warning.

My CPU fan RPM is around 2,000, CPU temp is 40C.

Is this a problem?

(I read the Easy Tune 5 Help section and could only laugh out loud at its complete lack of 'help'-- no information whatsoever.)

I haven't done any overclocking.

Many Thanks!

your temp is fine.

it's only flashing because the fan RPM is below the "alarm" threshold. go into your easytune settings/options and set a higher alarm threshold for the CPU fan, and it will stop flashing.

cheers :)

you're welcome... glad you fixed it :)

I have owned a couple gigabyte boards in the past. I like gigabyte, but I have never put much faith in the easytune program. i suppose it's good for hardware monitoring, but don't ever try to overclock with it.
