  1. Hey hows it going...first time here so be kind aye.

My problem is my laptop came up with "no operating system installed" when ever i tried to boot so i tried reinstalling xp home at the page where it shows the HDD it said unallocated space so i tried to format it - nothing - tried to partition it again nothing went into bios setup to make sure everything is ok and it says my 80g hdd is a 137g ? it recognizes the name and everything but not the size - so i tried to install windows 7 (original) and the same - space not allocated tried to format it and it wont tried to install and it comes up with " Installer Can't Install In Selected Partition - Error: 0x80300024 ".

sorry for the long post...some one please help Thanks

P.S. I have tried several HDD's and all the same unable to install, format or partition within windows installer.
