Hi. I'm trying to reformat my Compaq Presario C301NR. I can get to the windows setup screen that offers three options. 1) to setup XP press enter; 2) To repair XP press R; 3) to exit without installing XP press F3. After hitting Enter (option 1), I get a message saying "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your system." I read a similar thread, but the solutions there didn't work for me. I took some photos. Hopefully someone can tell me which drives' settings I must change in order to erase the current partition, and create a new one. Thanks.

It looks like setting the "SATA NATIVE SUPPORT" (4th image) to "DISABLE" works.
