    You need to alter your sharing/ntfs permissions on your main pc so that the laptop has permission to access it fully.

    R-click c: drive on your pc;

    properties > sharing .......

    it depends what OS you are using as to what you do next, but you may be able to figure it out from there.......

    Basically to need to add the name of the laptop into the list and apply the relevent permissions to it.

    and they probably need to be on the same WORKGROUP, right ? (under properties of "my computer")

    thanks, i had the sharing enabled in the first place. when i went to run the wizard it disabled the sharing lol. but i ran it again and i allowed the C: to be accessed and now i can listen to my music without transfering thanks guys
