Fable: The Lost Chapters french version, need to turn to english, URGENT HELP!!!!!

  1. Fable:TLC, have french vers. how to make in English

    I live in france and have bought Fable: The Lost Chapters for PC. Out of my own stupidity, I only found when I got home that it was the French version, the game's options cannot change it to English. Could anyone tell me where i can download a patch or if somebody could e-mail it to me so The game will work in english. Without the patch, the dialogue is annoyingly in french and I don't understand anything. If anyone can help me will they please send patch or find a link that will change the dialogue into english!!!     I have already put the gamne on angloinfo.com I will not have to sell it if somebody gives me a link for a patch or sends me a patch that will turn Fable: the Lost Capters into english version.

    I bought Fable: The Lost chapters for Pc a while ago. I found out when i got home that it was only in french and i can't turn it into english. Everything is in english the dialogue and the whole story. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE help me turn the game into english. I've heard of something called patches that will turn the game into a different language, in this case: english. If someone maybe can send me a "Patch" i would be grateful.

    If a patch exists it'll be in the download section of the game's homepage. I've had a look myself and there doesn't appear to be any patches for this game yet. If there were language patches I'd expect them to be official (it'd be a hell of a faff to go to in your spare time).
    If I were you I'd try re-installing the whole thing and do it carefuly checking if there's a language option anywhere in the install.

    I bought the game in Monaco. Clearly the old woman said I couldn't return it. I checked all the options with my Brother, and my brother is pretty good with games and PC's. Do you know anybody that may be able to send me a patch or maybe you know where i can download a patch so it turns the dialogue into english? I've checked other forums and they have patches for Bf2, why not for Fable???

    Well I'm guessing that you don't have an English version and like I said in my previous post, I doubt you'll find a patch to fix this. It's not what lionhead would consider a problem, so they won't have made a patch to change your language version. Nor will any third-party(cracker) have made one, because it'd be like making that part of the game and I don't see any real incentive for doing it in the first place. Best I can suggest is that you use someone else's English copy to install the game again, but use your licence key to make it legit. I'm not even sure this will work, but I suppose there's a chance the region laws may not apply in a case like this and your key will be valid.
    Failing all the above, you could try asking lionhead, or wait for a patch to become available from their site.

    Thank you for helping me out lekki_sheep i will try all of the above. But i think the best soloution is to ask Lionhead if a patch even exists for this game. As i dont have any friends that have this game. Besides I live in France, its pretty hard to get an Engliash copy. Asking Lionhead seems the best soloution. I should have thought about that earlier!!!!!

    As far as getting in touch with lionhead is concerned:

    If you visit the above URL it'll show you all the contact details for Lionhead customers.
    Something else though - if you have trouble getting hold of any English media you should try ordering from Bittish stores like Game(http://www.game.co.uk/) in the future. I'm sure the'd be happy to do overseas orders as far as France. Things might take a bit longer, but you'll get a game that's in English.
    Another thing you could try is asking Lionhead if they'd be willing to supply you with an English version themselves. It may be that they'd be willing to exchange your current copy for an English one.
    Alternatively you could become fluent in French, but that may take a little longer than all the other options.

    If i email lionhead for patch 2 turn game into english, will they email me back??????

    Just today I emailed lionhhead studios and asked them if they have patches for Fable: TLC to turn the game from french to english. Or if they would be willing to exchange ym current game for an english version. Do you think they will even email me back???

    I expect they will mail you back. It is in their interests to keep you sweet as you're a customer.
    As far as my problems are concerned, I'm fine at the mo thanks. Everything's just peachy.
