Sounds like someone from FB happen to buy an HTC One and liked Blinkfeed. For those of you who haven't seen it, Blinkfeed is the default homepage of the HTC One. it's a flipping style aggregation of news sites you select along with your facebook and twitter (and whatever you pick) feeds mixed in. You flip through it vertically and the tiles have a nice animation to them. It's pretty slick.
