  1. One day my brother's Windows XP computer failed its boot. To fix this I tried to reinstall this OS with the DVD. The install went fine and the computer booted up and it worked until I rebooted. I reinstalled the OS four times and the same problem persists. Any suggests.

Test the hard drive and memory as follows.

After reinstalling windows did you load the mobo drivers?

Is it an IDE or SATA hard drive?

Did you try to run in safe mode?

You missed two of my questions and you will have to get inside your PC to stand any chance of running the tests.
