Fairly Simple Compatibility Question, I Hope

I'm planning out a new computer with a Radeon x1600 256MB graphics card and this motherboard. The graphics card says it's DDR2, but the motherboard only supports DDR. I was just wondering if this actually matters when I'll be connecting it to a PCI thingy.
