Fallout 4's system requirements recommend a GTX 780

I wonder if they will take advantage of SLI configs. I'm running dual GTX 660s right now with an i7 cpu

Funny, my GTX 780 just got kicked in the ballz by the latest SC-II Update. It used to be just enough to run SC-II at 2560x1600 at ultra settings, but after the update (Legacy of the Void) it is absolutely not, I have to set it to 1600x1200 to make it playable. UNBELIEVABLE! And all that with a spec not to sneeze at - i7-4770K @ 3.85Ghz, 32GB RAM, Samsung 840 Pro.

Now I start thinking that upgrading the monitor to one with 3440x1440 will requite Titan X to run the updated SC-II properly, quite a resource hog this game is.
Well thats what you get for higher resolutions. I play on a 1650x1080 monitor and its just fine.

550Ti's came out with 2 gigs of RAM? Gee, my old 560Ti had only 1 gig yet it was supposed to be a slightly more powerful card.
I haven't played any of the Fallout series yet but from what I've heard they're quite good and if Bethesda can pull off the miracle that no one else seems capable of and that's being able to release a game on PC that doesn't need a recall after launch day, I might just give it a try, assuming there's a proper single player campaign and it's not all multiplayer nonsense.

There were 2GB 560ti's out there if memory serves.

You mean, that's what I get from a 1.5-year old card that was $650 new? Not quite the expectation.

your card came with 3Gb of Vram correct? its safe to assume that at higher resolutions that would become an issue. But I could be mistaken have you taken a look at your vram usage?

If you read the original message, we were talking about SC2 update that changed the same hardware requirements from fully sufficient to non-usable. My card's VRAM hasn't changed since.

I have a 3440x1440 monitor, and I have issues running 60fps @ultra settings on most games... and thats with 2 gtx 980's, which perform better than a titan... save yourself the headache... don't get the monitor until better cards come out...

I am definitely waiting for Pascal to come out first, which is now less than 6 month.

I really recommend you don't listen to any of these specs that get released. When I saw the specs for Battlefront it stated 16Gb of ram, 6700 skylake and uber gpus I have one of these items. I ran the game and the set the GPU settings to auto and it set everything to "Ultra" with Max AA. In fraps it shows around 63-99fps @ 1080. I am rocking a core 2 quad 9650 processor and 8Gb of DDR2 ram and it plays fluid and great frame rates and I am sure this game will aswell,

Thought I could help you out. For SCII, it's a problem with the processor, not the video card. What you need to do is open up the task manager, find SC2.exe in the process, right click it, then do "affinity mode". Then untick one of the 4 CPUs.

Worked for me!
