Far Cry sound problem

When playing Far Cry on my PC, I play for 10 minutes then a high-pitched screetching noise appears and then my sound doesn't work. When I click off Far Cry and return back to Windows, my sound works fine.

I have a Sound Blaster Live! 24 bit sound card.

See if there is a newer driver for the sound card and a patch or update for Far Cry.

I have the exact same problem and the same sound card. Did you ever get it to work rite?

I had that problem alot with the original SB Live card. It was always caused by the driver.
