Farcry Research Demo

When the first Farcry Demo came out I downloaded it but never could get the sound to work right. My own gunfire makes no sound at all or if it does it is very muffled. Tried all sound settings and speaker setups I have to no avail. Downloaded the Research Demo thinking that it might have previously been a driver glitch, but this demo does the same thing. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.

I have a sound blaster audigy platinum with creative inspire 5.1 speakers. Windows XP home.

I am considering buying this game but not if I cant get the sound working right.

ive never had the problem you mentioned other than with the MP5 - which has no sound in both demos. If you open the concole when you fire with the MP5 you get a 'Sound not found' or similar error. The files are in the demo paks just named wrongly for some reason....
