    To Any & All,

3 weeks ago I wiped & reformatted my system and upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro. Since then I have had 18 Blue Screens, numberless crashes, random software failures, and the inability to download any spyware updates. This could be a corrupt Microsoft update disc (they are sending a replacement.) Or it could be real nast malware. Unless I find an answer I'll have to wipe/reformat all over again. -- But how can I avoid contamination when I do? It seemed to get there ahead of me last time. All & any help will be welcomed on bended knee, I kid thee not.

    HijackThis Report attached.

Sorry for delay, but I haven't been home a minute since I opened this thread. I got swept into a whirlpool of activity in New York City. But I shall post a detailed answer to your questions tomorrow.
